KAOS XL
Sixteen pads loaded with chops from Omar's own records, a sequencer with the swing that makes boom bap lean, and a sampler for your own sounds. Tap a pad, press record, make a beat in the browser.
Inspired by the classic MPC workflow. Not affiliated with Akai. Sounds are KaosHotBeatz originals or synthesized on the spot; anything you record stays on your device.

Swing %Quantize Kit
Copies this pad's sample onto pads 1-8 of the bank, tuned -4 to +3 semitones: the classic chop-and-pitch trick. Nudge only shifts sequenced hits; play live and it stays immediate.
Decay 0 plays the whole sample. Pads in the same mute group cut each other off, like open and closed hats.

Press record, then play pads while it loops; hits snap to the quantize grid. Hold Note repeat and a pad for rolls. Tap a step above to place or remove a hit for the selected pad.
Tape adds gentle saturation, a rolled-off top and a slow, subtle wow. Humanize loosens sequenced hits by up to that many milliseconds. Latency compensation moves hits you record earlier, to cover the delay of your speakers or Bluetooth.
Master compressor is always on. The 12-bit switch adds the resampled grit of early samplers.
Record or load a sound, slice it, then send the slices to pads. Nothing is uploaded.
Click the waveform to add a slice point, click a marker to remove it. Slices fill the current bank from pad 1.

Keyboard, MIDI and tips
- Pads: Z X C V (pads 1–4), A S D F (5–8), Q W E R (9–12), 1 2 3 4 (13–16). Shift plus a key plays it softer.
- Space plays or stops. Enter toggles record. Tab moves through every control; arrow keys move inside the pads.
- Web MIDI: plug in a controller and play notes 36–51 for the 16 pads of the current bank. Velocity is honored.
- Swing 50% is straight; 62–66% is the classic lean; 75% is a full 32nd late.
- Export renders offline with the mixer, compressor and 12-bit switch applied, so it sounds like what you hear.
